I truly believe that God created laughter for a reason and a purpose.  Laughter can bring relief during a times when we feel so overcome with stress and things that are taking place in our life. Laughter can be relaxation and ease of spirit if we choose for it to be.  Proverbs 17:22 comfirms this when it says, “A joyful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones.”

No matter how tough life may get, may we ask God to help us find something to laught about.

Winter has pass and spring has come

“Fixing our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.” Hebrews 12:2NASB

Finally we have made it through the bitter cold of winter and now we are in the midst of spring.  Spring is the time that you will see the trees begin to bloom and the grass begin to grow.  If you listen closely, one can hear the chirping of the birds that sing the joyus melody of spring.  Yes winter has pass and spring is upon us.

Just as this is true in our world in which we live so it is true in our daily lives.  Today you maybe going through a “winter storm” in your life.  Maybe you are feeling the pain of the harsh wind as it hits your face. You feel hopeless, alone and it seems that this will never come to pass.  May I encourage you that Spring is coming.  No matter how hard life may get there is always hope and that is through Jesus Christ.

If there is anyone that can relate to the “winters” that we face in our life it surely is Jesus Christ.  He felt the rejection of His own people, the sting of denial from one of His most trusted disciples and betrayed from one who claimed he was a follower.  Yes He faced the “winter” but early one Sunday morning “spring” came.  Jesus suffered, died but He rose again.

You and I can make it through the “winters” we face by putting our focus on Him. By His strength and power we can rest assured that even through the coldest of winters spring will come.

Just another day to Praise The Lord

The older I get the more I realize that there is always something to Praise God about. It does not matter what may take place in a person’s life he or she has a choice and that is to give God praise.

Why should we choose to give God praise?  1. Because God is in control.  Even when everything looks out of control, God is still in control of the situation. He knows what is taking place and He cares. 2. Because His Word tells us too.  “Though the fig tree may not blossom, Nor fruit be on the vines; Though the labor of the olive may fail, And the fields yield no food; Though the flock may be cut off from the fold, And there be no herd in the stalls—  Yet I will rejoice in the LORD, I will joy in the God of my salvation.” Habakkuk 3:17-18.  Habakkuk was living during a trying time in Israel and it looked hopeless ye He realized that He had one choice which is to give God Praise.

If this worked in Habakkuk’s life than it can work in ours as well.  May we seek to glorify God and give Him praise in everything!!!
