“Oh come, let us worship and bow down; let us kneel before the LORD our Maker. For He is our God, and we are the people of His pasture, and the sheep of His hand.” Psalm 95:6-7
When you think about Worship, what comes to your mind? Is it a church that is filled with people and that has a huge choir loft with a music leader leading some songs. Is it some preacher getting behind the pulpit saying a few words from God’s Word or is it just something that Christians do at church? While worship does involve some of those things that are mentioned, that alone is not worship.
Worship actually means worthship. It is where we give all honor and glory to God. The reason is because worship is putting our complete focus on Him because He alone is worthy of our praise. Someone may ask, “What makes God worthy of our praise”? My answer to that would be “Look to Calvary, God allowed His Son to die on the cross for our sins, He allowed Him to take our place., that alone in my book is worthy of worship.”
